Bucket List #3

3. Be a Kick Ass Chick

Ok, so this is a bit of an odd thing, but I really want to be a Kick Ass Chick. My personal definition of a "Kick Ass Chick" is riding around in an old beaten up Chevy wearing a wife beater, jeans and low converse shoes, blazing Johnny Cash music with a bloodhound sitting next to me riding to my studio where I weld things into art. So maybe it sounds red neck, but I could totally make it cool! Of course I have to pair this along with some guns (aka biceps), which I'm working on:)

p.s. Sorry mom for the language on this one, but it just had to be used for my bucket list!

Bucket List #2

You never know when you are going to kick the bucket, so why not get a jump start on trying to achieve somethings before I do...kick the bucket.

2. Go Skydiving

When I was a senior in high school, my brother and I did a skydiving simulator in Pigeon Forge, TN, just to experience the feeling of free falling and also, because we knew our dad would never be up for us to actual skydive! The simulator was definitely cool, but nothings as good as the real thing. So that is my second to do on the Bucket List. And suprisingly, it's really not that expensive...I think my friend told me it costs $125. Totally reasonable! Although, he did tell me that he was suppose to go skydiving last month, but something came up, and the plane that he was suppose to dive from crashed that day...what a lucky son of gun! That does kinda put the fear in ya, huh!?

Well I'm ready to master my fear and do like Tom Petty says "Now I'm free, free falling! I'm gonna free fall out into nothin', gonna leave this world for a while!"

My Best Friend's Wedding

My best friend, Janelle, just got married this weekend, and I have to say it was seriously the most beautiful and glamorous wedding I have ever witnessed. And to be honest, I really expected nothing less from her. She is just glamorous and fabulous in every way.

It's weird how similar Janelle and I are! We went to rival high schools and literally were the same person...both in musicals, track, homecoming court, choir, both never had a best friend that they could truly, unconditionally rely on and both are just a bunch of crazies. We met the summer after our freshman year in college in an Algebra class...both hated math and helped each other through the class...I don't even remember a thing I learned. I just remember Janelle and how we spent the summer helping each other move on past our high school ex-boyfriends, develop and improve our self-esteems and embraced our crazy fabulousness. She was the first person I wore a bikini in front of and felt completely confident, and the same holds true for her. She showed me that its better to be your true self and to embrace and hold strong to the powerful woman inside you than to hide it from the world, and if people don't like it, well that's just too unfortunate for them because they just missed out on someone fabulous. We both just wanted a friend to love and who would love us back. I can honestly say that I love her with my whole heart and I would do anything and everything for her. She is "my person," that one person that I know will always be there for me and will always have my back, no matter what...and I am that person for her. She loves me unconditionally and sees me as a strong, beautiful and confident woman, and reminds me of that even when I might not see that in myself.

Her wedding was truly fabulous and a miracle! Her first wedding reception site had to be moved because they had to repair the electrical stuff :) in the building. Her second site was inside a tent that was permanently cemented to the ground and strong tornadic winds blew the sucker away just 5 days before the wedding!!! Luckily, the tent was replaced, BUT it rained and poured the whole week, and there were worries of flooding, bad weather and rain on the wedding day...it rained till 11:30 on her wedding day, and ended just in time for her to go to the church and get pictures taken! It didn't rain for the rest of the day and the sky was a gorgeous blue and sunny! Seriously, amazing!

It truly was a wonderful day and I feel so blessed and honored to have been able to have shared that day with her.

Bucket List

I've decided to create a Daily Bucket List (aka Things I must do before I die aka Movie featuring my fav actor Morgan Freeman aka Term derived from phrase "Kick the bucket.") I'm not thinking about leaving this earth any time too soon, but who knows with my track record...just kidding MOM!!

But seriously, you never know when you are going to kick the bucket, so why not get a jump start on trying to achieve somethings before I do...kick the bucket.

1. Ride a Camel in Egypt

I can't really explain this life long dream, but as long as I can remember I have always, ALWAYS wanted to ride a camel in Egypt and explore the pyramids, hang out with mummies and see the Sphynx.

I've tried exploring other options, such as riding a camel at the zoo and at the fair, but it just doesn't feel right...it must be ridden in Egypt! And I must ride a camel! Not a horse and not a llama, but a real camel! I hear camels spit and smell, but so does my boyfriend and I still love him :)

Ahhh...One day, one day I will ride a camel in Egypt, so all those Palestinians and Israelis better stop fighting asap so girl can get her ride on!
