Going to the Chapel...in less than 100 days!

Oh my goodness! How time flies! I cannot believe there is only 93 days till the Big Day! So much has happened since my last post...sorry for the delay in writing. Work has been insane, wedding planning keeps me busy, I'm getting Scuba Lessons for the honeymoon, Pre-marital classes are a joy (ha!), and did I mention wedding planning keeps me busy!?

But a lot of fun has been had. Blake and I have both really enjoyed taste testing cake, picking out flowers, choosing music for the ceremony, taste testing the food for the reception, registering for gifts (haha...Oh man, Blake and I are ridiculous when it comes to registering for gifts...seriously, don't ever take us shopping...we are the most indecisive people that ever existed), shopping for the wedding dress, shopping for bridesmaid dresses, choosing then re-thinking then re-choosing our colors, etc. Note to self, when trying to make decisions, just make a decision and move on...there are so many options and choices out in the big world of wedding planning, and if one lets themselves get absorbed in all that is wedding planning, you will never NEVER make a decision.

On another note, my first wedding shower is coming up in less than a month, and I'm so excited to get spoiled! Then, I have another shower the week after that, another shower the week after that, a Bachelorette party the week after that, and then a month till the wedding...AND I still have to write my vows!

One thing I have learned from wedding planning is that I realized how blessed and loved I am (did I just speak Yoda or what? I think I shall devote one post to Yoda talk...when time I have that is...ha! Random). But seriously, my mother and soon-to-be mother-in-law have been extremely helpful and loving to me...Yes, they've driven me nuts a few times, but I would be lost without them. My father and future father-in-law keep me sane and give lots of hugs...and buy me Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on tape for my long drives to and from Blake's home. My bridesmaids have shown me so much love, grace and kindness...and then, there's Blake.

I really believe that wedding planning tests your relationship and shows you your strengths and weaknesses. Blake and I have a solid, strong relationship, and I can't wait to be married to him. Sure we've got our flaws, but I believe it is our imperfections that make us so perfect for one another. And to think, the overly-confident-in-his-dancing-skills, high school senior who danced up on me when I was just a shy, innocent freshman in college was my future husband. God is amazing...and I really think He likes to make me laugh.
