Which way to the chapel?

I've been working out a lot lately trying to get ripped for my wedding day. My future father in law told me I look like I could hurt somebody...I have achieved my goal. My boss gave me Muscle Milk to drink on the day of the wedding. You can be sure, I WILL be flexing down the aisle. I didn't work this hard for nothin'!

"Feed me" - my stomach

My stomach and I have been battling it out this week. I eat my normal healthy portions of food, just like I've done every day, but my stomach wants more. This is not ok considering my final dress fitting is next Saturday.

"Why do I have a picture of a dog standing on cheeseburgers," you might ask. Well, besides the fact that I ate McDonalds twice in one day (and I NEVER eat fast food), I am very much like this chihuahua. Just the feel of the cheeseburgers under his little paws gives him so much satisfaction and contentment. But, I don't know if I could just stop right there. My stomach is so out of control that it would devour the 8 cheeseburgers and then move on to a milkshake and fries.

Simple things

I stumbled upon a blog today, 1000 Awesome Things, and its all about appreciating the simple things in life. It made me smile. I often find myself only appreciating the big things in life, like engagements, job offers, raises in salary, etc., so when awesome little things happen, I'm unimpressed. Life is more full of awesome little things than great big things, and if I just stopped to appreciate the little things in life more often, I bet I'd be a much happier person.

Awesome Little Thing #1: I cooked dinner for those I love last night and made them smile.

It was a good day.

That was one spicy Cinco de Mayo

Mi Madre: "When is Cinco de Mayo?"
Me: "Mom, that's like asking 'When is the 4th of July?'"

Today, I speak in the romance language of Antonio Banderas. Yes, he is Spanish, but today, he is an honorary Mexican because he is spicy and makes me want to eat burritos and drink margaritas when I hear is voice on the Nasanex commercials. When I first heard that commercial, mi penso, "There is something "so sessy" (aka "so sexy" according to Antonio) about that Bumblebee." And then I learned, that Bumblebee is no ordinary Bumblebee. Ah yes, that is Antonio in the form of a Bumblebee. And since Antonio is "so sessy," the Bumblebee is also "so sessy."

Anyways, today is Cinco de Mayo, and I LOVE Mexican food, so of course, I must eat it today. I am cooking for my roomies and my lover (yes, I'm still keeping with the Antonio accent), and I'm so excited because here is the menu:

Appetizers: Guacamole, Salsa and Chips
Dinner: Grilled Chicken Tostadas
Side: Spicy Corn Cake
Dessert: Lemon Bars (not Mexican, but sounded delish)
Drink of choice: Mango Margaritas

You are jealous, no?
